Dr. Sarah Myers is the former Associate Nurse Executive, Geriatrics and Mental Health( inpatient and outpatient ), at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center. She retired in 2019 after completing 36 years of service in various leadership positions in VA. Dr. Myers is the recipient of numerous awards including Georgia Nurses Association’ services s Presidential Award, March of Dimes Award for Research and Evidence Based Practice, and Ludie Andrews Award. She is currently serves as a member of the Covid-19 Advisory Board of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Organization. In addition, and she is a mentor for two nursing doctoral candidates and she is involved in two writing projects.
Sonjile James is an Atlanta native and have been a nurse for 24 years. I have worked in Pediatrics on the floor, provided infusions in the home, worked in pediatric and adult GI, and was a Nurse Navigator. My current position is Clinical research nurse at Emory University School of Medicine. The research is with Sickle cell patients. I have worn many hats and wouldn’t change a thing.
