Meet the Holmes Family:

Joan Holmes along with members of her family is a Co-Founder of The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Academy – an online program that provides instruction and practical skills training for families who are caring for their aging, disabled, and/or ill loved ones at home. Mrs. Holmes is a retired paraprofessional from the Atlanta Public School System where she enjoyed educating special needs children and community gardening for almost 30 years. Her desire for educating children and wanting children to read, led her to becoming a story reader in the forest, schools, churches, and libraries around the Atlanta area. Mrs. Holmes is the wife and primary caregiver to her husband Alex Holmes who had a massive stroke in 2015, and she along with the support of her 8 siblings play a key role in the care of their mother, Muriel Kimpson, who is 88 years young. Mrs. Holmes and her husband have 5 adult children, April, Katrena, Terry, Corey, and David, three granddaughters, Christina, Chrysolite, and Harlynn, and one great-grandson, who she affectionately calls “Dr. Giovanni Morgan.” Mrs. Holmes is a graduate of Price High School, was a part of the Job Corp, and attended Paine College in Augusta, Georgia – where she and her husband met.

 

Terry Holmes, along with other members of his family is a Co-Founder of The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Academy – an online program that provides instruction and practical skills training for families who are caring for their aging, disabled, and/or ill loved ones at home.  He is an instructor for the academy and is the co-author of the academy’s training book, titled The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Program Guidebook. He provides visionary leadership to the academy as well as sales and marketing expertise.

Katrena Holmes, along with other members of her family is a Co-Founder of The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Academy – an online program that provides instruction and practical skills training for families who are caring for their aging, disabled, and/or ill loved ones at home.  She is an instructor for the academy and is the co-author of the academy’s training book, titled The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Program Guidebook. Ms. Holmes is the author of Buying More Time – 58 Questions to Ask On Your Loved One’s Behalf Before He Or She Is Discharged From a Hospital or Skilled Healthcare facility.

April Roberson is a Co-Founder of The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Academy – an online program that provides instruction and practical skills for families who are caring for their aging, disabled, and/or ill loved ones at home. Ms. Roberson is an army veteran and reservist trained in life saving techniques.

Christina Roberson is a Co-Founder of The Holmes Family – Family Caregiver Training Academy – an online program that provides instruction and practical skills for families who are caring for their aging, disabled, and/or ill loved ones at home. Ms. Roberson is a Certified Nursing Assistant and is CPR certified. Through her years of experience, Ms. Roberson has cared for aging, disabled, and ill patients. She understands the importance of coupling a willing heart to serve those in need with the proper training.
