Why. Now. (Part 2)

Maura’s conversation with Dona during Part 1 really afforded you an opportunity to see what her motivating force was to propel her forward. In part 2 we pick it up with her sharing step four to staying in step and also we unpack how we invest in the wrong things.
Meet DonaMcCullough-Eiland:
Dona’s philosophy on the human experience and human existence is simple…”One of the beautiful things about life is as long as we wake up each morning we get to start anew—we get to exercise choice and options we may not have considered yesterday.” As Owner and Principle Coach of Next Right Move Career Management Services™, Dona integrates her three foremost passions—people development and enhancement, training & development, and opportunity identification and linkage.
A 20-year Human Resource Management (HRM) executive, Dona’s prior professional work focused on organizational development, people development, and organizational effectiveness—her core function was to get the absolute best out of companies and their employees. It is this experience that positions Dona well in providing value adding individual career management services, as well as serving as a corporate career management outsource option in a safe and judgement-free zone.
Since 2018, Dona has partnered with individuals and groups in identifying key personality, skill, knowledge, and other imperatives needed to ensure complete career satisfaction and fulfillment as the objective. A self-proclaimed “strategy and transformation maven,” Dona believes in helping clients find clarity through exploration, providing tools and resources wanted and needed, and thinking differently. Next Right Move Career Management Services’ purpose is to serve as a viable and cost-effective resource to people of all walks of life seeking clarity in their career domain.
Dona possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Communications & Training (MA), and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA). In addition to these, Dona possesses certifications which she leverages often in her coaching work—Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), graduate certification in Workplace E-Learning and Performance Support (WELPS), and a Professional in Human Resource Management (PHR). Dona is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) with National Louis University’s IL School of Professional Psychology.
In addition to career coaching, Dona is a faculty member with two institutions of higher learning—Indiana University Northwest (IN) and Governors State University (IL) where she teaches communications and business courses.
As a wife of one (Bill), mother of one (Corey), and grandmother of six, Dona believes in operating in excellence (not perfection) and values family, living one’s truth, and being the change, we want to see in the world.
