Our topic today discusses the growing demographics of the sandwich caregiver and their challenges. Our guest shares her experience of caring for her mother-in-law and 4 children – age 13 and younger. Elboney states that the “Caregiver Support Group on GroupMe and the Caregiver Support group on Facebook are the main two group I connected with in order for me to vent, share affirmations, pray, advise, and get support from before I found out about Call for caring. These two groups helped me when I was asking “Why my life is like this”, “what did I do to deserve this”, and etc. If anybody need to vent the Facebook group is very helpful with that. And the GroupMe group is more for inspiration and inspire positivity and also meetups”.
